Group to Organize Motorcycle Ridealong in Tennessee Aimed at Combating Drug Overdoses

**Title:** Honoring Lives Lost to Fentanyl: Join the Awareness Motorcycle Ride from Loudon County to Maryville

**Description:**

Welcome to WBIR Channel 10 in Knoxville, Tennessee, where we deliver award-winning, community-centered content “Straight From The Heart” of East Tennessee. We are dedicated to being good citizens and bringing you content that is fair, honest, and impactful.

In this video, reporter Maria Guzman dives deep into the heart-wrenching stories of mothers who have lost their loved ones to the powerful drug, fentanyl. Join us as we honor the lives of Shawna, Daniel, and Joshua, among others, and raise awareness about the dangers of fentanyl in our community.

But it doesn’t stop there. Mary, Julie, and Christina, these strong mothers, have rallied together to form a group that fights to save lives from this deadly epidemic. Their dedication and determination to prevent more tragedies like theirs are truly inspiring.

Did you know that fentanyl is 50 times stronger than heroin and 100 times stronger than morphine? Shockingly, it is the leading killer in overdoses nationwide, and its victims include children as young as two years old. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation reports that fentanyl is also the third most common drug seized by law enforcement in our state.

Every parent’s worst nightmare is losing a child, and these brave moms want to ensure that no other parent has to endure what they have gone through. That’s why they have organized a motorcycle ride, taking place from Loudon County to Maryville, where guest speakers will inform participants about fentanyl and teach them how to use Narcan, a life-saving medication.

Together, let’s spread awareness, support these grieving mothers, and join the fight against fentanyl.
