LALO is terrible, harsh and too alcohol-forward. I had one made by Don Julio's protege named Tequila Trece that was a lot better and smoother.

Lui, love your channel and spreading the good word on spirits especially tequila. I just picked up Barrel 10, Bottle 110 of Volans Single Barrel Repo that is exclusively made for Massachusetts. My understanding from my go-to woman for craft tequilas is they're limited run 47 bottles given to the place I but it and only see 3 left going off her word which I have no reason to doubt. I'm telling you this because I believe I heard in you mention you're from MA? This bottle/Barrel was hand selected personally by Felipe Camarana from 1 out of 10 barrels (10 was the one selected) which were aged in French oak instead of the American white oak. If you manage to get one before there done you'll notice a slightly darker color than the one you have. Anyways thought I'd tipoff a fellow tequila lover

There's a brand here based out of Kansas City called mean mule. I was on the fence with it because I'd describe the flavor almost as shoe leather but at the same time I think that's like the exact taste some of y'all be chasing after trying some recommendations 😂😅

I might be a b*itch but I like mine a lil smoother myself but still ya know. Its the closest tasting to Fortaleza I have found… I'll be honest I hated Fortaleza. Got the reposado for my birthday and I had to choke it down. It was just to much.

Screw Fortaleza. They only provide liquor stores with silver and sell Reposado and Anejo to restaurants now. There are way too many good tequilas to even look back
