**Mongolian Government and Google Collaborate to Expand Technology Access in Schools**

The Mongolian government has made a commitment to ensure that every child and educator in the country has access to online learning devices. In order to achieve this goal, the government has partnered with Google to provide 20,000 Chromebooks to local schools. The ultimate objective is to provide a Chromebook to every student and teacher in Mongolia.

**Extending the Life of Older Devices**

In addition to deploying new devices, the government and Google have devised a solution to extend the life of older Macs and PCs that are already in schools. By installing ChromeOS Flex, a version of ChromeOS designed to modernize existing devices, the performance and battery life of tens of thousands of devices will be significantly improved. This initiative not only enhances device functionality but also helps in reducing e-waste.

**Support for Educators**

Google is committed to supporting educators in Mongolia through their one million Google for Education Workspace accounts being deployed in the region. As part of this support, Google will provide 10,000 Level 1 and Level 2 Educator Certifications. These certifications will empower the first group of certified teachers to train their colleagues in effectively utilizing technology in the classroom.

**Preparing Students for the Future**

To equip Mongolian students with the skills they need for the future, Google is offering 1,000 scholarships for the Google Career Certificates program. This program offers job-ready skills in high-demand fields such as Cybersecurity, IT Support, UX Design, Data Analytics, Project Management, and Digital Marketing. Importantly, these certifications do not require a degree or prior experience.
