Good morning everyone! We’re here at Crawford’s Landing for the Bass Assassins tournament. The water is rising, and it should be around 11 feet by now. I haven’t checked the tide, but no matter what, I’m headed south into the marsh and possibly to the east Pearl.
My buddy John is joining me today as his boat is down, and we’re both aiming to save some points for the classic at the end of the year. The fish are starting to move up, and it’s going to be a tough day. Let’s get on the road and start signing in.
Throughout the day, John and I tackle the challenging conditions, trying various lures and techniques. I attempt to catch some bass with the frog lure, but it’s a struggle. John, on the other hand, has success with his favorite June Bug Speed Worm.
As we navigate the river, trying different areas and adjusting to the rising tide, we face various obstacles but continue to push forward in pursuit of the elusive bass.
Join us on this thrilling bass fishing adventure and witness the challenges and rewards of competitive fishing.

Nothing worked but the purple worm
Dude does that water ever clear up on the west pearl ?
How do I go about joining Bass Assassins
I was out there in the marsh the same day as the tournament just exploring and got in a huge school of bass, tide was falling 1ft and was hitting a drain comming out the marsh best 5 was around 12 pounds and caught so many! Was the only spot I could catch a fish tho
Between reeling the bass up to almost the end of the rod and the interesting way of unhooking them, ya boy John has some fascinating techniques. He does realize he can “lip” bass right. Hooters is a nice consolation prize. You guys hit up the Hooters in the Dirty Del?
