**Investments & Exits: Interview with Martin Janicki, Partner at Cavalry Ventures**

In this episode of “Investments & Exits,” we welcome Martin Janicki, Partner at Cavalry Ventures, to discuss the latest funding round of Worldr, a London-based company focused on enhancing the security of enterprise communication. Worldr has secured €11 million in seed funding to develop privacy, security, and compliance solutions for popular collaboration and communication tools.

The funding round was led by Molten Ventures, with support from IQ Capital and Playfair Capital. Specialized funds Pretiosum Ventures, Navigate VC, and MD One Ventures, which specializes in national security, have also invested in the company. Additionally, industry-focused angels, including Alex Walsh, Hussain Baig, and John Theroux, have participated in the round.

Worldr aims to address the increasing demand for secure communication solutions, particularly in the context of the hybrid work setting and the growing importance of cybersecurity and data privacy. The company’s B2B software-as-a-service platform allows users to securely operate widely-used communication tools such as Microsoft Teams, Slack, and WhatsApp. Worldr provides users with control over their encryption keys, and offers options for storing WhatsApp chat logs on individual servers or servers located in specific countries.

The company’s innovative approach has gained significant traction in the market, as corporate communication plays a crucial role in the current work landscape. Worldr’s solution not only addresses cybersecurity concerns but also ensures compliance with privacy regulations. Combining ease of use and heightened security measures, Worldr has positioned itself as a trusted solution provider in this rapidly growing industry.

As Worldr continues to expand its product offerings, it remains to be seen whether it will evolve into an independent communication platform or serve as an added layer of security for existing platforms. The company’s success lies in its ability to navigate the complex dynamics of the communication technology market and establish a strong foothold.
