Transforming Agrifood Systems through Sustainable and Circular Bioeconomy in the Climate Agenda

Welcome to the Food and Agriculture Pavilion at the UN Climate Change Conference 2022 (COP27)! This event, co-hosted by CGIAR, FAO, and The Rockefeller Foundation, aims to raise awareness of the opportunities for circular bioeconomy to transform agrifood systems and accelerate climate action implementation. We will be discussing sustainable and circular bioeconomy in the context of the climate agenda, exploring how it can contribute to enhanced climate ambition and the sustainable use of biological resources across economic sectors.

To kick off the event, we will be showing a short video prepared by colleagues at the FAO, which will provide an overview of the topic. Following that, we have a lineup of distinguished experts who will join us for a keynote speech and a panel discussion. Our panelists represent regional and international organizations, private sector, academia, and the climate finance sector.

At the end of the event, we will summarize the key points and wrap up our meeting together. If you’re interested in learning more about the program of events, you can visit https://cop27foodpavilion.cgiar.org.
