Clara Audry, Partner at VC fund CapHorn and Vice President of France Digitale, shares her experience in venture capital and highlights the gender inequalities in the entrepreneurial world. In this video, she emphasizes the need for more women in finance, entrepreneurship and venture capital. The session is a part of Boost’her, a full day of talks to learn more about gender inequalities in the entrepreneurial world, build the confidence to create your own business, and be inspired by outstanding speakers. The event was organized by the Majeure Entrepreneurs students of the MSc X-HEC Entrepreneurs Program.

## About Clara Audry

Clara started her career at NextStage, a private equity fund where she focused on the media, retail and tech sectors. She then joined onefinestay as Vice President and launched the French business, managing the European growth and expansion. onefinestay was sold in 2016 to AccorHotels for $170M. Clara is a graduate of Audencia Business School.

## Gender Balance in VC

According to Clara, women have 30% less chance to raise funds, making gender inequality a pressing issue. While changing times are moving towards more mixed and female teams, the number of funders is currently only at 5% for women in France. Clara believes that the alumni and students can change this through launching new adventures and focusing on gender balance and equality. She shares her tips for getting into VC and emphasizes the importance of ignoring gender discrimination and focusing on learning and growth.
