Ocean of Flowers: The Fundamental Power of Meditation for Healing, Restful Sleep, Anxiety/Stress Relief, and Overcoming Depression

**Basic Meditation Techniques: A Step-by-Step Guide**

Are you looking to find peace and tranquility in your hectic life? In this video, we will guide you through the basic meditation techniques that can help you achieve a sense of calm and focus. By using your breath as a point of focus, you will learn to quiet your mind and let go of distractions.

**Step 1: Find Your Comfortable Position**

The first step in meditation is to find a comfortable position. Sit in a chair with your feet flat on the ground or cross-legged on a cushion. Make sure your spine is straight but not rigid, allowing the energy to flow freely throughout your body.

**Step 2: Close Your Eyes Gently**

Once you’re in a comfortable position, gently close your eyes. Take a moment to look into the distance with a soft gaze, and then slowly lower your lids. Keeping your jaw slack and slightly open, relax all the muscles in your face. This will help you create a sense of ease and relaxation.

**Step 3: Let Go of Your Thoughts**

During meditation, it’s natural for thoughts to arise. However, the key is to not let them distract you. Instead of fighting or suppressing these thoughts, calmly acknowledge them and let them go. Use your breath as an anchor to bring your focus back to the present moment. By practicing this during meditation, you’ll develop the ability to let go of unnecessary thoughts in your daily life as well.

**Step 4: Keep Going and Embrace the Silence**

The more you practice meditation, the easier it becomes to quiet your mind. As you continue to put aside any thoughts that arise, you’ll notice that the gaps of silence between thoughts become longer and more frequent. Embrace these quiet moments and allow them to bring you a sense of peace and serenity.

Basic Meditation Techniques:
This involves sitting in a comfortable position and using your breath as a point of focus. If you find yourself distracted by other thoughts or find your mind wandering, gently redirect your focus back toward your breaths.

STEP 1: Get into a Comfortable Position. Ensure that your posture is correct.

STEP 2: Close Your Eyes Gently: Look into the distance with a soft gaze, then slowly lower your lids. Keep your jaw slack and slightly open as well. You want to relax all of your facial muscles.

STEP 3: Put Thoughts Aside: While you can’t control your thoughts, you can control how much power they have over you. This doesn’t mean you should ignore or suppress them, but simply remain calm, note them, and then use your breathing to bring you back to the moment. Learning to do this during your meditation practice can help you to let things go in the rest of your life as well.

STEP 4: Keep Going… That’s it, really! Keep putting aside any thoughts that may pop into your mind. The quiet spaces between thoughts will become longer and more frequent the longer you practice.
