**First Flight and Introduction to my New Business Venture**
Welcome to my channel! After a long hiatus, I am thrilled to share my latest adventure with you. In this video, we will be heading up north to embark on a lifelong dream that has been in the making for over 25 years. Join me as I introduce Cornerstone Aero Adventures, my new business venture, which officially took flight just a few days ago with the purchase of my dream airplane.
I have been searching for the perfect aircraft for quite some time, and I am grateful that the timing is finally right. This 1964 Cessna 172e model Echo holds a special place in my heart, and we are currently at Caldwell airport in Idaho, where I am leasing a hangar to protect this beauty from the harsh elements.
In this video, I will give you a tour of the airplane and then take you on a flight with me. The interior has been beautifully redone by the previous owner, featuring a comfortable tan cloth interior. It may have the old steam gauges, but it is in excellent condition. I have also equipped it with my iPad Mini and ForeFlight for navigation.
As an aviation enthusiast, safety is my utmost priority, so I may not be able to record the flight as I want to focus on flying safely. Nevertheless, I cannot contain my excitement about this incredible aircraft. With a powerful 180 horsepower pinion conversion, this plane is a true gem.
Please bear with my low-tech recording setup, as I am still adjusting with my headset and unsure if this is being recorded properly. But trust me, seeing this plane in action will be worth it.
Unfortunately, we encountered a small setback with the weather. There is a chunk of IFR (Instrument Flight Rules) conditions above the airport, but it’s a minor inconvenience. While we wait for the skies to clear, I will take this opportunity to refuel and make sure everything is in order.
Once we are ready to go, you will join me in the cockpit as we taxi to the runway for takeoff. The climb performance of this aircraft is astounding, thanks to its powerful engine. As we take to the skies, you will witness the stunning views and the thrill of flying my dream airplane.
Throughout this flight, you will notice my excitement at every turn. Getting used to the speed and control of this airplane is taking some practice, but I am enjoying every moment of it. Join me on this journey as I create unforgettable memories with my new aircraft.
