[HaGal Sheli](https://hagalsheli.co.il/en/english-home/) is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering at-risk youth through the transformative power of wave surfing. We believe that by facing the unique forces of the sea and conquering the challenge of surfing, young participants gain the self-confidence and resilience needed to overcome life’s obstacles. Our programs are open to teenagers from all walks of Israeli society, regardless of religion, background, or gender.
Operating in partnership with the Tel Aviv-Jaffa municipality for nearly two years, HaGal Sheli has provided educational surfing programs to over 200 participants. However, due to limited space in our small classroom at the Jaffa port, we are unable to expand our activities and reach more at-risk youth.
Fortunately, the Municipality of Tel Aviv-Jaffa has pledged to support us in our mission. They have committed to matching every donation we receive and building a new structure that will allow us to expand and continue our vital work.

HaGal Sheli (My Wave) is a non-profit organization which uses wave surfing as an educational tool and provides at-risk youth with the chance to ‘ride the wave’ and succeed. By facing the unique forces of the sea and overcoming the challenge of surfing, the participants are instilled with the self-confidence and sense of achievement necessary to propel them through life’s challenges.
HaGal Sheli operates various programs for teenagers from across Israeli society: Jews, Muslims and Christians; secular and non-secular; immigrants; boys and girls.

HaGal Sheli Tel Aviv-Jaffa
HaGal Sheli has been operating an educational program in partnership with the Tel-Aviv Jaffa municipality for almost two years, in a small classroom in the Jaffa port. During this period, we had 14 groups of over 200 participants. The limited space does not allow us to increase the scope of activity.
The Municipality of Tel Aviv-Jaffa has committed to give a new structure and match every donation received in order to renovate and operate.
