Hi, I’m Richard Watson, Managing Partner of DBIC Ventures. We’re a highly active seed and early-stage venture fund in the Republic of Ireland. With the backing of Enterprise Ireland and 35 amazing private entrepreneurs, our fund is unique in the market. We have a long-standing reputation as a leader in Ireland in the provision of strategic advice to tech startups.
We invest in highly scalable startups with global ambitions. Our current fund is highly active, investing in globally scalable B2B software-as-a-service (SaaS) and medtech companies across the Republic of Ireland. We seek to identify companies with clear competitive advantages, early market validation, and the potential to scale through attractive unit economics.
At DBIC Ventures, we believe that the team is the most important thing and the key driver of success for early-stage startups. We are entrepreneur-friendly and keen to meet companies early, even if they’re not actively fundraising just yet.

Vincent Ford, CEO and Founder of Gascon Medical, developed a technology to remove air bubbles from IV infusion lines, making infusions safer, more accurate, and cheaper to deliver. Marco, Co-founder of Evercam Construction Cameras, built a layer of software that turns existing camera technology into useful actionable data, improving construction productivity. Chris Darin, Founder and CEO of Clarity CX-1, created a strategic account management solution tailored for the pharmaceutical industry, enabling field account teams to engage more effectively and make value-based conversations.
