To create a library of key performance indicators (KPIs) for state governments in targeted violence prevention, we need to establish a comprehensive framework. The extent to which states have addressed violence prevention varies significantly. States should play a crucial role as conveners and coordinators of various aspects of violence prevention. However, we were encouraged by the desire for collaboration and the recognition of the public health approach to violence prevention.
