**China’s Dragon Boat Festival Sees Strong Consumption Growth and Travel Demand**
According to a survey conducted by the Ministry of Commerce, China experienced a surge in demand for products and travel during the three-day Dragon Boat Festival holiday. Consumption during this traditional festival showed robust growth, indicating a positive economic outlook.
Sales of zongzi, a popular delicacy made of glutinous rice wrapped in bamboo or reed leaves, witnessed a remarkable increase of 64.3 percent compared to the previous year. Additionally, the sales of jewelry and precious metals saw a year-on-year rise of 13.6 percent.

China saw a brisk demand for products and travel during the three-day Dragon Boat Festival holiday, according to a survey by the Ministry of Commerce.
Consumption during the traditional festival, which ran from Thursday to Saturday, posted strong growth.
Sales of freshly-made zongzi, a glutinous rice dumpling wrapped in bamboo or reed leaves, surged by 64.3 percent from a year ago. The total sales of jewelry and precious metals rose by 13.6 percent year on year.
