SB360 Capital Partners, LLC Announces Liquidation of 22 Olympia Sports Stores Effective May 5th, 2022

# Olympia Sports Store Closing List – Liquidation Sales

In this video, Chris takes a look at the soon-to-be former Olympia Sports stores that are closing down, with liquidation sales being conducted by SP360 Capital Partners LLC. SP360 recently announced the closure of about 22 Olympia Sports locations, which is nearly half of their stores.

Here is the list of Olympia Sports locations that are having liquidation sales:

– Olympia Sports store at Putnam Bridge Plaza in East Hartford, Connecticut
– Olympia Sports store at South Shore Plaza in Braintree, Massachusetts
– Olympia Sports store at the Mall at Walpole in East Walpole, Massachusetts
– Olympia Sports store at Cranberry Plaza in East Wareham, Massachusetts
– Olympia Sports store at Cape Cod Mall in Hyannis, Massachusetts
– Olympia Sports store at The Loop in Methuen, Massachusetts
– Olympia Sports store at The Center at Hobbs Brook in Sturbridge, Massachusetts
– Olympia Sports store at Sudbury Crossings in Sudbury, Massachusetts

– Olympia Sports store at Dunkirk Gateway Shopping Center in Dunkirk, Massachusetts
– Olympia Sports store at Calvert Village in Prince Frederick, Maryland
– Olympia Sports store at Claremont Marketplace in Claremont, New Hampshire
– Olympia Sports store at Tri-City Plaza in Somersworth, New Hampshire
– Olympia Sports store at Upper Valley Shopping Center in West Lebanon, New Hampshire
– Olympia Sports store at Streets of Chester in Chester, New Jersey
– Olympia Sports store at Rio Grande Plaza Shopping Center in Rio Grande, New Jersey
– Olympia Sports store at Greenest Valley Plaza in Green Greenissau, New York
– Olympia Sports store at Newburgh Mall in Newburgh, New York
– Olympia Sports store at Cambridge Crossing in Cambridge, Ohio
– Olympia Sports store at Southtown Plaza in Indiana, Pennsylvania
– Olympia Sports store at Hanford Plaza in Middlebury, Vermont
– Olympia Sports store at Highgate Commons Shopping Center in Saint Albans, Vermont

This closure is primarily due to the impact of the pandemic on the retail industry. The stores typically offer clearance events and carry brands such as Nike, Adidas, and Under Armour for both genders and across various categories.

Interestingly, two of the closing Olympia Sports stores are located within shopping malls that also have Sears stores. This raises speculation about the future closure of these Sears stores as well, given the relationship between SP360 and Sears/Kmart.

It remains to be seen whether this coordination between liquidation sales of Olympia Sports and potentially Sears stores will happen, but it is a possibility worth considering.

  1. Ohhh. Olympia Sports ☹️

So this is unfortunately a troubled business. At its peak it had nearly 250 locations. They declared for Bankruptcy in 2018 and shuttered nearly 100 stores at that time and were sub brought by a British company….who I think sold them last year. They are bleeding bad. Losing stores left/right. Prices too expensive and lost to the competition like Dicks (and Walmart to smaller extent).

I’m not surprised. I’m actually surprised not MORE were on this list.
…and sadly I see this company doing a total liquidation in the coming year/two at most. Sad 😞
