Welcome to the start of an exciting new series where we will walk through the process of building a production-ready e-commerce store from scratch. If you’re a developer looking to enhance your skills in Java, Spring Boot, and Angular, then you’re in the right place.

In this series, we will explore the journey of constructing and integrating battle-tested frameworks to create a powerful e-commerce web application. As we build this application, we will be implementing functionalities and integrating technologies such as RESTful APIs, web sockets, and database design. You will need a solid understanding of Java, object-oriented programming, and HTTP communication to follow along effectively.

On the front end, we will be using Angular along with Tailwind and minimal vanilla CSS for design, as well as Material UI for easy components. Additionally, we will be utilizing CK Editor for product description customization. For the back end, we will rely on Spring Boot along with dependencies such as Spring JPA, Flyway migration, JUnit, and Mockito for testing, and more.

For deployment, we may choose to deploy on AWS or Digital Ocean, and we will be using Docker to spin up an instance of MySQL for local development. Throughout the series, we will use git for version control and IntelliJ as the IDE of choice.
