“The tech ecosystem in the north of England and Scotland is absolutely thriving. Talent is improving, and the value of companies is increasing. We started the event in 2014 when I moved back to Manchester, and it was clear that the talent in the North West was just as good as it is in London. I’m absolutely delighted to be your host tonight for the 10th Annual Northern Tech Awards.

The tech ecosystem in the North is getting better and better; it covers every industry, every sector. What we’re now seeing is that more and more people are interested in being involved in startups or wanting to start their own companies. But most of all, we’re just seeing a really thriving tech community. It’s a pretty exciting moment in time, and I’m proud of where we’ve got to. But the next 10 years are really where it’s going to happen. Thank you.”
